Preventative Medicine

Rondout Valley Vets has a full surgical suite and dental area. We perform basic spays and neuters, teeth cleanings, including dental extractions, as well as more complex surgical procedures. We require that all pets have pre-operative blood work done before any anesthetic procedure.

Once in surgery each patient is on a heated surgical operating table or on a heated recirculating hot water bed. They are also connected to a five-way monitor to provide a continuous read of their vitals while under anesthesia. Every surgery has a Licensed Veterinary Technician monitoring each patient during their procedure. Through these practices we do all we can to minimize risk in order to acheive a safe and successful procedure.
