Hi, I'm Dr. Kathleen Longs, the owner of Rondout Valley Veterinary Associates, located in Kerhonkson, New York. We're in the Mid-Hudson Valley, where there's plenty to explore beyond our wonderful veterinary practice.
What Makes Our Location Special?
Our area is rich in outdoor activities, including rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, and skiing. During the summer, there are plenty of water activities to enjoy on the Hudson River.

One unique aspect of our practice is our full rehabilitation center. If you follow me through this door, you’ll find our dedicated rehabilitation facility designed to aid pets in regaining mobility and strength.
Our Rehabilitation Center
Our facility features an underwater treadmill, ideal for pets recovering from surgery or needing physical therapy. In our spacious rehab area, we provide additional equipment such as a hand treadmill, balance boards, and strength training tools like peanuts and cavalettis. We also have two Class IV cold lasers that help improve blood flow, enhance healing, and provide pain relief.

Beyond rehabilitation, we offer a full range of general veterinary services, including:

- Fully equipped surgery suite
- In-house laboratory with blood analysis machines
- Comprehensive dental suite with digital dental X-rays

Rondout Valley Veterinary Associates has been privately owned for over 25 years. I personally purchased the practice in May 2023 and have continued to nurture a family-like atmosphere, ensuring that we remain independent and client-focused rather than operating like a corporation.
